What are some awesome Halloween costume ideas?

I LOVE dressing up for Halloween even though I don't go trick-or-treating anymore. Does anyone have any awesome Halloween costume ideas that aren't expensive and I could use at a school event.

get a huge box (refridgerator box could work) and paint it. you could be a barbie in a box. paint the box pink and even put a bar code on it. cut a front out and you could plastic wrap or something over it. you be the barbie but you could be like teacher barbie, ballerina barbie, malibu barbie... if you dont like the barbie idea, you could be really any toy or action figure
